I've seen TOOL 11 times since 96 and have been a fan since I heard the song sober when it was released. I've bought shirts and other shit while at the concerts as well. Who knows how many purchased copies of CD's and vinyls my money was spent on but if I had to guess I'd say somewhere around 25, not counting Puscifer or work that band members have collaborated on. I can care less how much I had seen on all of that shit and the travel costs included with the concert trips. He sold his soul to make a record and sure as fuck bought one.
These guys are the best band that has ever existed apart from what I haven't yet heard as far as I'm concerned. I'm going to leave out all of the other 93 things I could say and just mention this last one. WTF? The band doesnt owe me shit but yeah, I'm a bit dissapointed that these guys promised a big "surprise" and it turned out not to be new music. Nothing was ever officially stated about playing any new material so I'm a TOOL for thinking that.
I hope new material, I mean music, will be released sometime soon before this shithole of a planet is laid to waste. As far as the surprise goes some things I'll just practice speech in silence. I'll end on this note however, from what I've seen online, last nights show seemed to be the absolute best TOOL show ever.
