Signed. I saw them a number of years ago
They're really great for fooling people easily manipulated into believing they're super woke after viewing them, and are now smarter than everyone who hasn't seen them. They don't reveal anything new or special or secret, and you aren't special now either.
That's kinda what I thought, the guy who introduced me to them is a bit of a know-it-all... They started more of a trend than a movement. Most of it is pretty common knowledge anyway. I did like the part about religion however.
Watch out for that Americo currency or what ever the hell he calls it...New World Order for the scary win!
I think part of me wants to give a s h i t because of all the hypnotic imagery and sounds they use throughout the film.
A good conspiracy-theory-esc movie to check out (that actually has some credibility) is Neurons to Nirvana... It's about psychedelics ;-D
If there is an entity guiding events and global movements (been awhile since I watched it I'll admit) surely it is now out of their control, and as is evident, there are forces fighting back. Just take a peek at the Islamic movement against (seemingly) Western society. I can't believe these conspiracy theories, there's only so much someone could influence the system and world in my book. At least without it getting out. If you read recent history and study the realities on the ground, surely it rings true!
The way I see it, non of us will ever really know what's real or what's not. That being said, the only reason for watching Zeitgeist (and other movies like it) is to provoke entertaining thought. With that perspective in mind, I think Zeitgeist is a very good movie. Think about it as if it were discussing an alternate reality, such as the marvel or dc universes, but with more plausible occurrences.
