Can you give me any sleep advice? Because that would help. I keep having these recurring nightmares. Most people primarily live in their dream state and their dream life is in the waking world. I seem to be deaf in the dream realm however and am always jolted awake after a misunderstanding or confrontation. The Gods have had to apologize on my behalf numerous times, believe me. I'm conflicted, on one hand my dreams are a trip and there's no accountability, on the other my waking life is a drag and there's no-one to communicate the unity we share or the troubles we face. You see, I know this is the real world because I'm severely disabled and nothing comes very easily for me. Others though are fulfilling humanity's great conspiracy while they sleep! I kind of want to be let in on all of the great secrets you all share
I get to sleep using doxylamine... over the counter stuff, my dreams are a trip too... if everyday is exactly the same, why are my dreams always different, even the recurring ones?
Where there's seemingly certainty and permanence in our waking experience, I suppose you'll find unpredictability in the dream realm because it's subject to quantum mechanics and the ever changing nature of reality. With life and death and our shared experience of sleep and being awake, I guess our brain determines for us what our priorities are and selects our dreams as we are prepared to face them. Who knows where our dreams come from? The human mind is like kicking a ball down a cavern, who knows what direction it will go in
I am always intrigued by the time / quantum aspect of dreams. I can hit the snooze button and drift back to sleep for 5 minutes of terrestrial time, yet experience a vivid 2 hour journey in the dream world. More evidence that time is relative...
Those five minute snoozes are wonderful!
